Watch this video… it inspires me, and I hope it will inspire you too.
Freerunner Katie McDonnell shares her story on overcoming challenges to keep inspiring herself and challenging herself to become better. Sometimes she wants to give up, yet something pulls her back always. Just watch the #shockyoursystem http://bit.ly/SHOCKYOURSYSTEM-SA
Sometimes I want to give up, sometimes I want to just pause. I think we all get like that. Yet something always pulls me back, refocuses me. Gets me going again too. I think it’s the hope of what is possible, the challenge of pushing yourself a little bit further to learn, to grow, to stretch your boundary.
When I got weils disease and post viral encephalitis, I had to stop. I didn’t really know how I would overcome this challenge. Yet slowly, day by day, month by month, and now year by year I have. I found new ways of challenging my fitness, growing my strength and finding opportunities that I have to work out how to make happen.
Sometimes I don’t know how I will make it happen, just like you I guess? Sometimes that big, what if I could do a handstand, run a marathon, love my body, see what’s possible, seems just too big.
Yet to overcome the challenge, sometimes you just need to begin, to commit, to enter the event or challenge, to surround yourself with support and just begin. Because I promise you, by beginning, you will learn and grow, you will become stronger and wiser, and what you thought was a wish, will become your reality and then something new will become your challenge,
We are born to move, to be strong and overcome challenges, to make your impossible become possible. I think often we want it to happen fast nowadays, yet change takes consistent, commitment, courageous action in tiny ways and thoughts, every day,
I would love to know what you would love to achieve and make your possible, because if you are reading and watching this, I believe YOU can make a change today and begin….
Do share and I will support you, Kim
