I can’t believe it’s the middle of June….. are you well? Love to know how things and if I can support at all,
I often think of June to the Summer Solstice is a good time to pause and reflect on the year so far, refining what you may like to focus on until September (and beyond if you are clear).
Whatever you need this Summer, I wish you a flowing healthy time with courage and commitment to where you find yourself. It’s different for everyone especially during these times and would love to know how you are doing. I’ve found several Episodes of Dr Chatterjee’s Podcast to be excellent, especially this one with Dr Jandial, leading neuro surgeon.
As things unfold gently, be mindful of what you need to be okay, and respectful of those around you. If I can support you with exciting plans, anxiety, trauma, stress, wellness, adventure plans or anything, don’t be afraid to reach out and see what’s possible.
Our daily habits mould us
(Atomic Habits talks about this, and author James Clear’s newsletter is worth a sign up), so be mindful of the habits you are creating and thoughts you are thinking. Two other books out this month are Levison Wood, Curiosity & Leadership & Emine Rushton, Reclaim Joy – a good combination/balance with two people I know and recommend.
The 3rd June was Global Running Day, something which many people have taken up during lockdown…. have you? I was interviewed by Jacyln Ricchio Stover for her running podcast last year and it seemed to resonate for people, you can listen here. I would recommend Jenni Falconer’s Run Pod Podcast, so many fascinating guests on it. For a Virtual 10km – do it your way, anytime 20th – 27th June, Sunflower Suicide Support have entries still open here. and you support their great little charity.
I was interviewed by The Day In, Day Out Podcast recently, by Muyiwa Adebiyi. A really fascinating man, doing 100 squats a day for the whole year for Bowel Cancer Charity, to name a few things.
If you are looking to support Cat and Hannah to produce their film which documented their journey….’ as we take a dramatic 3000km drive through three Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Our trip takes us from bustling cities, across dusty deserts, reaching dizzying heights along the infamous Pamir Highway. We use the journey to speak to as many women as we can – learning what life is like for those growing up in countries off the standard tourist trail.’ It looks pretty special and I was more than happy to share when they asked – you can find out more here.

June Journal Prompts – Wellness Life check in to action:
Make the time over the next couple of days to do this quickly and simply.
If you need support, just pop me a message.
Put today’s date and time top the page:
1. Your Mind Body Check in…
– How are feeling, energy, movement, posture?
– How is your brain, mood, thoughts, stress?
– How is your sleep, depth, quality?
– How is your digestion, cravings, hydration?
– How is your digital time, conversations, recharge time?
🔹Score out of 10, and/or write comments
Choose 3 specific areas to change or focus on for the week ahead and review every week if time.
Put today’s date and time, mood at top of next page.
2. Your Monthly Reflection and Focus to Flow Forwards
– What have loved, felt happiness about in last month?
– What have you overcome and learned in last month?
– What are you resisting or committing too?
This month: – What are your 4 priorities to make happen, how, why?
– What will you decide & commit too changing habit or thought wise?
Letting go and growth
– Who will you connect with, ask for help/give support?
– Why does this matter to you?
– What, who and where relaxes you, make time for this
🔹Write it down, reflect and then commit
Be specific, simplify to one thing if overwhelmed, get your family and friends involved, and have fun with it.
Repeat this every month and notice the patterns which come up, the growth and change and celebrate each month. Being kind and courageous with yourself. You matter. Journaling, pen and paper is proven to help calm your thoughts, focus your mind and grow your intention to change. Change is uncomfortable, but to change we have to change. Give it a go for 3 weeks or months to give it a chance and I promise you will be surprised.
