International Women’s Day 2026: Give to Gain

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style.”

Maya Angelou

Happy International Women’s Day 2026 to incredible women around the world. Some are dealing with the toughest conditions, and today we hold hope, strength and belief for each one of you.

This year’s theme is Give to Gain – a powerful reminder that what we give comes back to us in ways we might never expect. When we support others, share our knowledge, lift each other up and create space for growth, we gain connection, purpose, resilience and community.

For me, this theme feels deeply personal. Over the years, giving has shaped my journey in unexpected ways. From raising over £93k for charity through marathons and wild adventures, to holding space for clients navigating grief, ADHD, encephalitis recovery and self-doubt – every act of giving has brought something back. Not always in tangible ways, but in strength, clarity, empathy and the privilege of walking alongside others through their challenges.

Celebrating Give to Gain – a personal milestone

I’m humbled to share that I’ve been nominated for The Heart & Soul Awards 2026 – one of just 264 nominees celebrating the very best of fitness through passion, impact and community. This nomination feels like a wonderful reflection of the Give to Gain theme. The work I do is only possible because of the incredible people I’ve had the privilege to support, learn from and grow alongside.

Every client who trusts me with their goals, every person who shows up to coaching session, every conversation about mental health, neurodivergence or recovery – it’s the little things. This recognition belongs to all of us.

How I’m planning to Give to Gain this year:

Supporting clients through 1:1 coaching – helping people overcome self-sabotage, build confidence and create the life they dream about. Every session is a reminder that when we give someone the tools to believe in themselves, we all gain a stronger, more compassionate network.

Creating safe, restorative spaces through our Yoga Nidra and Oracle Card sessions, where people can pause, recharge and reconnect. Our next session is on Tuesday 24th March at 7:15pm GMT. Everyone is welcome, no experience needed. Learn more and join here.

I’d love you to join us at our Energised Party on Sunday 22nd May, where brilliant people will come together for connection, joy and shared stories.

Moving for meaning

I’m delighted to be taking part in The Rugby March on 9th May 2026 with St Peter’s Hospice. It’s a 5km or 10km sponsored walk supporting local patients and families, followed by a Bristol Bears rugby game at Ashton Gate Stadium. Movement with purpose – one of my favourite ways to give back. Sharing stories through speaking and writing – whether at corporate events, festivals like Big Retreat Wales, or through my little book 52 Ways to Feel Good, which has raised over £2k for mental health and dog charities. Sharing our vulnerabilities and lessons gives others permission to do the same.

Advocating for awareness and understanding

From ADHD and neurodivergence to encephalitis recovery, eating disorder support and grief. The more we talk openly about these experiences, the less isolated people feel.

Women who inspire me

There are so many women doing amazing, positive things. Here are just a handful who remind me what it means to give and gain:

Kalpna Woolf – doing incredible work with 91 Ways to Build a Global City and Be on Board UK, creating opportunities and equity.

Street Child – supporting girls with life-changing projects. I’ve visited and raised funds for their work in Sierra Leone and Nepal, and their impact is extraordinary.

Sweaty Betty – empowering women to believe in themselves through movement and wellness.

Maria Powell – an inspiring athlete achieving incredible things in triathlon with British Triathlon.

Amber from Big Retreat Wales – founder of a festival that creates space for wellness, connection and transformation. I’m honoured to present there alongside amazing speakers.

Tegan Vincent Cooke – her TEDx talk, Paralympic dreams and advocacy inspire so many.

Sophie Morgan – her book Driving Forwards and her work championing accessibility and inclusion.

How will you Give to Gain?

I’d love to hear about the women who inspire you and how you’re planning to give this year.

Do let me know, tag someone brilliant on social media, or take a moment today to reach out to a woman in your life and tell her what she means to you.

If I can support you to make great things happen – through 1:1 coaching, keynote speaking, or simply holding space for your goals and challenges, it would be my pleasure. Get in touch here.

With warmth, strength and solidarity,

Kim
