For me, fitness is so much more than exercise – it is about energy, resilience, community and wellbeing. It gives me the courage to take on challenges, the balance to navigate life’s ups and downs and the connection to share those moments with others. I would love to know – what does fitness mean to you?
This year’s National Fitness Day theme was Powered by You, back for a second year running, a reminder that the strength, motivation and impact of fitness begin with each one of us.
National Fitness Day was a great chance to pause and think about how moving our bodies can support both our physical and mental health – and the days that follow are where habits grow. From your first parkrun to a charity challenge or a marathon, fitness has the power to change lives – yours, and the lives of others through the causes you support.

Keep the Momentum Going
If you joined in, keep the momentum going with one small step this week: a lunchtime walk, a stretch before bed, an earlier night. If you missed the day, you can begin today. Pick one action, put it in your diary and tell a friend so they can cheer you on.
My Current Challenges
I recently shuffled around the Great North Run for Macmillan Cancer Support, surrounded by so many charity runners and causes – have you ever done it? Visit the fundraising page here. I am doing the Pilgrams Ultra on 26th September for the Miscarriage Association. You are welcome to visit the fundraising page here.
How We Can Help
Here are a few simple ways to improve your running and overall wellness – no matter your starting point:
- Stay consistent, and listen to your body.
- Prioritise recovery, mobility and sleep as much as training.
- Fuel with simple, nourishing food and hydrate well.
- Mix things up – walk, run, stretch, lift, dance – movement is joy.
- Above all, keep it fun.

Looking Ahead
If you would like a training plan for autumn, winter or a spring marathon, do send us an email, we create online coaching plans, mindset and confidence plans and give workshops to enhance performance.
With warmth, Kim x
