Masking at Work: What Genuine Inclusion Looks Like for ADHD Minds

National Inclusion Week runs 14–20 September, and this year I want to shine a light on something I coach on often: neurodiversity at work.

I’ve spent years supporting clients with ADHD – GP referrals, athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, and the pattern I see again and again is people masking their brains to fit a workplace built around one way of thinking.

Genuine inclusion is not a values statement on a website. It shows up in the small stuff: flexible deadlines, permission to work differently, managers who ask what support looks like instead of assuming.

I recently sat down for a podcast conversation on coaching neurodivergent minds – practical, honest, and full of tools any team can use. Give it a listen.

If you or your team would benefit from 1:1 coaching, workshops or keynotes around ADHD, confidence or performance, I’d love to help. I also run a dedicated ADHD Untangled training course for professionals wanting to build their understanding further.
