Breaking the Silence: Men’s Mental Health

Men’s mental health month is running throughout June 2026 and is an important time to address a topic often shrouded in silence and stigma: men’s mental health. It’s time to give men a voice and ensure they have access to the help they need.

I’ve worked with many men who have faced adversity, overcome their issues and achieved their goals. Their stories of resilience are inspiring, but it’s clear that more support is needed.

One thing I’ve noticed time and again is that the first step – simply admitting something feels hard – is often the biggest. Whether it’s stress, low confidence, grief, anxiety or just a nagging sense that something’s off, you don’t need to have the words perfectly formed. You just need to begin. Reaching out to someone you trust, a friend, a professional, or a community, can quietly change everything.

Movement, connection and honest conversation are three of the most powerful tools I know. A walk with a mate, an honest check-in, a moment to breathe and reflect – these small acts add up. Men’s mental health isn’t a niche topic; it’s everyone’s business, and this month is a reminder to keep the conversation going.

If you would like confidential support, tools and coaching for business, sport, mental well-being and resilience do get in touch in confidence for a relaxed conversation.
